Who am I?

Welcome to my website.

Choosing the right therapist is a significant decision, and it’s essential that you find a professional who can offer the support, understanding, and guidance you need.

I grew up in Portugal, where the culture of longing, expressed through Fado music, inspired my desire to understand human emotions. This deep connection to emotional expression led me to follow the calling of counselling and psychotherapy, bringing me to England to pursue these fields. Since 2004, I have dedicated myself to helping individuals navigate their inner world and unlock their potential for personal growth.

How I Work

I believe that each individual has the capacity for self-actualization, as Carl Rogers beautifully expressed. With the right support, everyone can reach their fullest potential. My role is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions and experiences at your own pace, leading to personal insight and lasting change.

I am also guided by the wisdom of Irvin D. Yalom, who said, “The primary question is not, ‘What can I do for you?’ but rather, ‘How can I help you to discover the answer within yourself?’” Therapy, for me, is about empowering you to find your own answers, not just providing solutions.

Why I Do This Work

Over the years, I have seen firsthand the incredible power of self-awareness and healing. Whether through addiction recovery, trauma work, or personal growth, I have witnessed the transformative impact of understanding ourselves more deeply. My training and experience have reinforced my belief that everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and lead a more fulfilling life.

With the tools I’ve developed through extensive training, including specialized techniques for addiction, psychodynamic therapy, and existential approaches, I offer you a personalized and compassionate approach to therapy that helps you move forward with confidence and clarity.

Let’s Connect

I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute consultation. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how we can work together, please feel free to reach out. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

My Counselling Approach

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers

At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship we build together. This connection creates a safe and confidential space where you can step away from the demands of daily life, reflect on your thoughts and emotions, and begin your journey of healing and growth.

I take a flexible and integrative approach to therapy, meaning we will work together to find the methods and strategies that best suit your needs and goals.

As a BACP-accredited Counsellor, I meet the high standards set by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This accreditation reflects my commitment to ongoing professional development and ensures that I provide ethical, effective support to my clients.

Creating a Safe and Confidential Space

A central aspect of my work is creating a space where you can express yourself freely and without judgment. This safe, confidential environment encourages open exploration and self-reflection, essential for meaningful change. It’s here that you’ll be able to explore, process, and transform your emotions and experiences.

A Personalized Approach for You

Using the Clarkson Five Relationships Model, I integrate different therapeutic approaches that are tailored to your unique needs. By exploring these five key relationships, we will work together to identify the best path forward for your personal growth. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, or simply seeking deeper self-awareness, my flexible approach will ensure you receive the support and tools that feel right for you.
