Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as Tapping, is a powerful, evidence-based therapeutic tool that combines elements of acupuncture, cognitive therapy, and mindfulness to help release emotional blockages and promote healing. It involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on an issue or negative emotion, helping to restore balance to the body’s energy system and shift emotional responses.
EFT works by addressing the emotional and psychological root causes of physical and mental distress. The process helps to reduce the intensity of negative feelings, thoughts, and trauma, making it an effective treatment for anxiety, stress, phobias, trauma, chronic pain, and many other emotional challenges.
During an EFT session, clients are guided to tap on key meridian points, such as the top of the head, eyebrow, side of the eye, and under the nose, while verbally acknowledging the issue at hand. This technique is believed to help release energy blockages, allowing for emotional freedom and a greater sense of well-being.
I integrate EFT into my practice as a tool for emotional healing and self-empowerment. By using this gentle yet effective technique, clients can achieve emotional balance, overcome limiting beliefs, and transform negative patterns to create lasting positive change.
